We’ve compiled a list of upcoming programs and events that you might be interested in attending. We will add to and update these links frequently. Brookfield Zoo offers a variety of educational programs for teachers and the public. Visit Brookfield Zoo’s website at www.brookfieldzoo.org to to find out more.

F.T. Stone Laboratory, Ohio State’s field campus on Lake Erie, offers summer courses for educators and high school students, and fall and spring workshops for grades 4-12 school groups. Some COSEE Great Lakes Scholarships are available. Visit their website at http://stonelab.osu.edu.

Great Lakes Aquarium is a mostly freshwater aquarium located on the Duluth, Minnesota waterfront.  Exhibits focus on Lake Superior and the Great Lakes with connections to global ecosystems. Programs and resources available for the general public, preK-college students, and educators all year round. Visit their website at www.glaquarium.org to explore the possibilities.

Great Lakes Regional – National Ocean Sciences Bowl is a nationwide academic competition among teams of high school students.  Find out how to enter at www.glerl.noaa.gov/pr/nosb/cur/.

Huron-Clinton Metroparks in Southeast Michigan, offers educational cruises during the Spring and Fall. For more information, visit their website at http://www.metroparks.com.

Indiana Dunes National Lake Shore has a variety of programs planned. Check them out at www.nps.gov/indu/.

Inland Seas Education Association is a non-profit organization whose mission is to help people of all ages experience the science and spirit of the Great Lakes through shipboard and on-shore programs.  For more information, visit their website at www.schoolship.org.

Metropolitan Affairs Coalition h features bird watching driving tours in Southeast Michigan, the intersection of two major flyways. Visit their website at www.mac-web.org/Projects/DiscoverOurWildSide/BywaysToFlyways.htm for more information.

Pier Wisconsin, located in Milwaukee, offers visitors an opportunity to learn about the maritime and natural history of the Great Lakes. You can find out more about the facility and their programs by visiting www.pierwisconsin.org/.

Shedd Aquarium has lots of great programs for teachers! From lizards to fish, classroom to field trip, find out how you can enhance the science learning experience for yourself and your students. Our range of workshops bring teachers the skills and comfort to engage themselves in the exciting world of science. The Great Lakes Science Center in Cleveland, Ohio, has programs for teachers, families and school groups, including a new IMAX film, Mysteries of the Great Lakes. Visit their website at www.glsc.org/.

The Wisconsin Maritime Museum is a great place to visit for information related to maritime history in the Great Lakes. You can out more about their exhibits and upcoming events by visiting www.wisconsinmaritime.org.

Whitefish Point Bird Observatory offers educational programs about banding and bird watching in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Visit their website at www.wpbo.org for more information.
